The home team, who only got promoted to the Championship a few months ago is dangerously close to the end of the table. For a newly promoted team the only thing that counts is avoiding relegation and that is of course also the case for Portsmouth. They only just managing to stay out of the critical zone. The lead over the first relegation place is two points, which alone shows how important this week's catch-up game is. The last few results have been a real rollercoaster ride for the fans. Portsmouth conceded 13 goals in their own stadium, while away from home this number is almost three times as many. Six wins, four draws and three defeats, that's pretty decent overall. Millwall have five points more on their account but they are not really in the lead. It will be very interesting to see what Millwall does away from home, because four defeats actually show us that they are doing well on the road. On the other hand, there are only two wins to their name away from home as in seven of 13 games exactly one point was collected. Portsmouth currently has a very offensive, successful style of play at home, while the visitors from Millwall have had results that included far fewer goals and more draws.
